It has become almost common knowledge that videotapes degrade over time. Those who have been viewing the same tape over the years have become acutely aware of this. Unfortunately, most people do not know that videotapes have a lifespan of only 10-15 years. If played excessively or not stored properly, that timeframe is even shorter. Colors being to bleed and images start to blur.

Our process
Once we receive your videos, the following is done:

- Examine all videos for time, image/sound quality and other possible factors (damaged tape, cracked cases, etc.)
- Organize all entries in chronological order
- Review footage for removal of shaky shots, shots with lens cap on (a favorite) and other custom edits to be made.
- Copy to DVD with menus, chapter selections, period music (if requested) and storage case with cover featuring screenshots of said video.
- Videotape repair services offered (please inquire if interested)
- $15.00 - up to two (2) hours of tape
- $5.00 - additional copies
Ridgewood Productions will convert and enhance your videotapes or Mini/DVDs into other digital file formats as well as DVD. The following formats are available for conversion:
